Corrections Policy

Accuracy matters more than preserving an original version of a story. BeautyTims welcomes specific reports of factual errors, misleading wording, broken sources and missing commercial disclosures.

How to report a concern

Use our contact form and identify your message as an editorial correction. Include the article URL, the passage in question, what you believe is wrong and a reliable supporting source where possible. Do not include passwords, payment details or private medical information.

How a report is assessed

The relevant claim should be checked against the source material and any evidence supplied. A disagreement about taste or an editorial opinion is not automatically a factual error, but opinions must not be presented as established facts. A brand’s request for more favorable coverage is not, by itself, a reason to change a conclusion.

Corrections, clarifications and updates

A correction fixes a factual error. A clarification makes ambiguous wording more precise. An update reflects information that changed after publication, such as a reformulation or discontinued product. Material corrections should carry a dated note explaining the issue and the change. Minor spelling and formatting fixes may be made without a separate note.

Serious issues

If a page cannot be supported by adequate evidence, it may be withdrawn while it is reviewed or rewritten. Fabricated quotations, testing experiences and credentials must not remain published. When a change affects an article’s central conclusion, the explanation should make that clear.

Follow-up

If you provide contact details, they may be used to request clarification or respond to your report. We do not promise a fixed response time or a particular outcome before reviewing the evidence. For the standards behind our coverage, read the Editorial Policy.
